DR. EMILY BENNETT
Emily's expertise in burnout comes from both personal experience as a former executive director with stress-related health problems and from treating countless exhausted nonprofit workers in her private practice. Her ability to treat these patients has been limited because burnout is an organizational phenomenon and cannot be remedied through self-care. Often, these patients end up quitting their jobs at nonprofits to save their health—which is terrible for nonprofits, the people they help, and our communities as a whole.
Searching for a solution to this problem led to helping nonprofits to understand and manage burnout through workplace changes.
